What web industry certifications have some of you pursued to bolster your portfolio? I've been looking into the CIW and WOW certs and am wondering if any of them would be worth the effort.

In the spirit or slashdot, specific images/quotes are necessary when certain topics come up. This dilbert comic always comes to mind when certification is mentionded.

I've received my CIW Associate. I figured that would be a good one to get because it's recognized by the IWA (http://www.iwanet.org/).

I have the CIW, kind of worthless. I dont think that is anything currently worthwhile for web people. Unlike other professions we just move to fast LOL.

We use Ektron's CMS so I got certified as a admin on that system last summer. I'm working on my MBA, but if there is one certification I think would be useful to web professionals along with anyone else I would say get a Project+ or PMP. The way things are going as far as outsourcing and managing all the resources having a little bit of a background in this is super valuable. The technology changes so quickly in internet fields that certifications become obsolete, but management training will always be useful. Just my two cents...

Oh oh... it would be very helpful to know what % of mobile phones are Web accessible.. with a data plan. Based on that information, marketing to/with the device would change considerably.
