Are you doing anything special at your school's site for April Fool's Day? We want to know about it! Leave your URI and what you did (if it's not immediately obvious or purposefully subtle), and your work might show up in an upcoming .eduGuru article.

Our homepage was replaced today with the actual first-ever homepage for the university, from 1996. It will revert back at the end of the day, but you can find it at http://www.rochester.edu/index_aprilfool2011.html. I did add the animated gif. :)

Marywood's website has been overrun by squirrels. They took over our campus a long time ago. www.marywood.edu

Oops, sorry, I didn't see you were working on something before publishing my post

I think I can find it in my heart to forgive you.
Since we’re wrapping up our 50th anniversary, we threw the home page back in time (http://www.callutheran.edu). CLU used to be CLC. More of an inside joke. I’m loving what everyone else is doing.

We went with an elephant…. http://www.vassar.edu

And we also have Meryl Streep playing Matthew Vassar, college founder http://vq.vassar.edu

We returned to the 60s, turning the whole site black-and-white and digging up some old news articles and course descriptions from the archives: bcit.ca

Check out our courses in Punchcard Systems ;-)

We did a Rickroll on our daily newsletter The DeSales Daily (thanks to a student's suggestion) and a fake news story about growing money trees: DeSales University Arborist program announces new strain of tree

I guess you won't be surprised to hear that some folks didn't quite "get" the Rickroll.

We revealed a secret. A SUPER secret.

I. LOVE. THIS. <3 <3 <3
Unfortunately we had to revert to the normal home page early because of a complaint (that prospective students outside the U.S. would be confused), but overall it was very well received by the campus community. Maybe it will have to be more subtle next year.

Our April Fools was small, just a photo on our Facebook page, albeit an adorable one:

FYI - Blaze is our mascot's name.
