Comprehensive Listing of College/University Facebook Pages

Varsity Outreach is pulling together a comprehensive listing of Facebook Pages that we will be posting on our site for anyone to see.

Please share a link to your school's Facebook Page on this thread and we will compile the pages into a single resource.

We do not intend this to be a one-time effort, but an ongoing project.

It is live at:
http://www.varsityoutreach.com/pagedirectory.aspx

Currently, we have just under 600 college/university Facebook Pages in our directory.

Are you referring to the Info tab?

If you are an admin for the Page, you will see an "Edit Information" link on the Page when you visit it.

Most sections are editable by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner of the box for that section.
whoa! how did you create that information on that page? FBML?
That would be FBML.

Buyer beware - Our research of nearly 1,000 facebook pages in higher ed continuously shows higher rates of conversation and fan growth for schools that open directly to the wall rather than an info/box/FBML tab.
Good post on adding FBML to Facebook Pages by Mike Richwalsky:

We want to do a landing page like this for our school's page on FB. Would love to speak with you to learn more about how you did this.
Here is a link to the FBML Application. This is what is typically used to create HTML-like sections on your Facebook Fan Page:

Here is a good to FBML in the Facebook Developer wiki. Please note that not all FBML tags can be used with the Static FBML boxes on Pages. Some are only for Applications.

Hey Mark here ya go...

College of Mount St. Joseph's Fan Page

How many fan pages are you all "owning"? Default college? alumni? athletics?
Our preference is for the main college Facebook page, but feel free to send through others if you would like.

We will basically make them available directory style with some data about each Page. We should have this up on our Varsity Outreach site by the end of the week.
Here's a sneak peak of the data.

Top 10 U.S. Schools by Fan Count on Facebook
That list is missing 4 of the top 10 schools, just a heads up. Might not want to tell schools they are in the top 10 on their pages until your data is complete!
