Comprehensive Listing of College/University Facebook Pages

Varsity Outreach is pulling together a comprehensive listing of Facebook Pages that we will be posting on our site for anyone to see.

Please share a link to your school's Facebook Page on this thread and we will compile the pages into a single resource.

We do not intend this to be a one-time effort, but an ongoing project.

It is live at:
http://www.varsityoutreach.com/pagedirectory.aspx

Currently, we have just under 600 college/university Facebook Pages in our directory.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll be constantly adding to the list. We will be including more schools in the next iteration.

Unfortunately, because there is no way in Facebook to search for a complete listing of college and university Pages, our directory will be an ongoing project. We definitely appreciate feedback and are open to adding new pages we may have missed.
So... does this thread indicate that there are (at least) 3 different groups/people trying to collect comprehensive Facebook Page information? Maybe collaboration would help the body of knowledge. :)
We're planning on being very transparent with our data (i.e. the list of college/university/grad school fan pages and the fan count for these pages).

I've already told Stewart Foss that we would share our list with him. We're happy to do the same with Brad Ward and Blue Fuego as well.

Our list of college Facbeook pages currently stands at 552... and growing, with your help.

Ann, as a sneak peak, here is a link to your school's listing in our directory:

Great! I'm glad you all are crunching the data. I just didn't want anyone to have to reinvent the wheel! Thanks man.
Ann - Our research is compiled and we'll be releasing it over the next few weeks for others to enjoy. Just want to make sure our data is complete and we've calculated everything correctly before the release! We're only looking at top level fan pages, nothing for departments within the school, etc.
Thanks Brad. :) Hopefully everyone doing research will help us see trends for best practices.
I already posted the MCMA at SIUC, it is a separate effort, here is the main University Facebook Page.
Southern Illinois University Carbondale
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Southern-Illinois-University-Carbonda...
Marylhurst University - just launched, still learning the ropes
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Marylhurst-OR/Marylhurst-University/8...
So we've made the first iteration of the Facebok Page directory live.

You can see it at:
http://www.varsityoutreach.com/pagedirectory.aspx

Let us know what you think. We will continue to add schools and collect data on a periodic basis.

I hope this is a useful resource for everyone.
Seems to have put the wrong link! But you can get to it from our school site: www.medschool.umaryland.edu/facebook

Archived magazine stories

Greetings,What are you all doing online with "old" magazine stories? Do you delete issues after so  many years? 5 years? 10? I'm torn between keeping all on for historical purposes or keeping just a few years online to simplify the site (ala Gerry McGovern.) Curious as to what you see best practices being.ThanksSara KisseberthBluffton Universitywww.bluffton.eduSee More
