Comprehensive Listing of College/University Facebook Pages

Varsity Outreach is pulling together a comprehensive listing of Facebook Pages that we will be posting on our site for anyone to see.

Please share a link to your school's Facebook Page on this thread and we will compile the pages into a single resource.

We do not intend this to be a one-time effort, but an ongoing project.

It is live at:
http://www.varsityoutreach.com/pagedirectory.aspx

Currently, we have just under 600 college/university Facebook Pages in our directory.

Hi Mark,

There's a pretty good list of Facebook and other social network sites for Higher Ed institutions at EduStyle:

Thanks for the heads up.

We saw the list on eduStyle, and it is a great start. However, it has fewer than 100 colleges on their Facebook list, and we know there are at least 300 colleges with Pages on Facebook, if not hundreds more. We're trying to build a more comprehensive list.

No need to reinvent the wheel, anyone can add to the eduStyle list. Instead of creating a new list why not just add to the existing list? Just click the "Submit a Social Site" link. I'd love to see a more comprehensive list on eduStyle as well. I'll add the schools that are here (if they haven't been already).

Why would they build up your site when they could build up theirs?

Eileen - quick suggestions for ya. Open the page to the wall and show all fan posts in addition to your updates. You'll get much more interaction than just opening to the boxes tab. :)

As I review admissions pages and applications, I've discovered there are few admissions pages that have an easy to find call to action to apply. The norm seems to be scanning a lot of text to find the "to apply" choice.

John, Not sure if you've seen this already, but check out Common Admissions Application. Looks like a number of higher ed schools across the country use it.
