We are having a debate on the use of Google docs in the organization.
We currently use Google apps which includes mail, docs, calendaring, etc. We use their Postini/Vault service which keeps a permanent and discoverable record of ALL email which is very nice for our legal department.
However, some have raised the issue about discover-ability (is that a word?) of Google Docs. My limited knowledge take is that it is not an issue any more than a file on a local hard drive is discoverable.
Anybody have any experience with this, thought?
Is it an issue with your organization -any work arounds?
I'm writing an App that will backup all files from our organizations Google drive and save them to Amazon S3 storage (the cheap one whatever it's called) and create a database for indexing and searching.
