Just my .02: This is a great conference for folks needing to get a bit of a taste of web strategy that goes beyond higher ed. Remember, web goes WAY beyond our industry, and it's really important to hear how other folks are tackling different problems that will ultimately come our way. This year will be my third JBoye event, and it's been great each time. The higher ed track is top notch, but I'd encourage folks to hop over to some of the other sessions too. Janus is also a master networker and can put you in touch with all the right people to help you with challenges you might be facing.

Thanks, Michael. You are an amazing speaker and you make it easy and fun to be a conference producer. I feel very privileged that you've found the time to attend a few J. Boye conferences in the past and I enjoy your work on remixology.

Let me just add here that:

  • we still have a few openings for speakers, including on the higher ed track. Higher ed speakers are welcome on all 8 conference tracks. Speakers receive a complimentary conference pass
  • a key part of the conference recipe is that we have many case studies and absolutely no marketing pitches. This is where you can come and learn

Hope to see you in May

cheers from Denmark

Does this conference focus mainly on the student or the employee side of Higher Ed?

Hi Alaina -

If you get a chance, check out the Higher Ed track here: http://philadelphia12.jboye.com/track/higher-education/

This year, I would answer both.  Most of the presentations are external web focused, but this year Mark Greenfield will give a much anticipated talk on how Social Intranets can help save higher ed.

Hope to meet in person in Philly!

Joel

Office Reservation software

I've been tasked with finding a software tool that helps manage the onboarding and exit process of new and departing faculty. Ultimately i would like this software to management faculty office interms of when resources can be removed from a particular office and when a new faculty member can be moved in with the necessary resources. This tool should have notifications and alerts so there are no conflicts with someone being removed from a office and someone being placed in a office. Does anyone…See More
