Our alumni online community is hosted by iModules. The person who was involved in the implementation set up a Google Analytics profile to monitor the site. Here's the problem. He's no longer with our institution and maintains he gave access to the report to his former director. Of course, said director claims no knowledge of having any access, and claims he has never had a gmail account.
Now that his replacement is on campus, the first question I was asked was what kind of data I can provide about the site.
Other than keeping up our efforts to track him down, am I correct in thinking we have no other options here? The only pieces of information I have are the tracking code that's installed on the site and his email address that he used.
Any ideas would be appreciated...
Permalink Reply by Claudia Snell on December 16, 2010 at 4:31pm I've had a similar problem. I was able to regain access by asking for a password reset. I don't mean to ask a silly question but did you try 'I forgot my password' to see if anything comes through to reset?
Permalink Reply by Michelle Tarby on December 16, 2010 at 4:47pm Not silly at all - when this started yesterday, that was the first thing I asked the director who was supposed to have this account. The individual doesn't know anything about a gmail address to access Google Anallytics (the address I have is the former employee who created it).
Permalink Reply by Claudia Snell on December 16, 2010 at 4:53pm You *could* try going through 'forgot my username' first. See if it sends an email to your institution. You'll have to work with whomever manages your email accounts there. With luck, the secondary email address associated with the account is one of yours (perhaps the former employee's).
