I'm the webmaster for a community college who is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing our institutional website. We currently have 65+ staff who update content on sections of our website using Adobe Contribute.
I've been tasked with assessing our current website to determine how we can "take it to the next level", but don't know how to define the next level. I'm not organizationally aligned with the IT staff, who are responsible for the administration and support of our campus servers. We don't have a marketing or communications department, (and no budget), so I'm a one-person department looking for advice!
Our president suggested seeking out local companies that could assume the day-to-day content updates. Do any colleges or universities outsource content management of their websites?
