Our admissions office is very interested in pursuing the ability to create personalized URLs on print projects that point to personalized landing web pages.
Made-up example:
A print piece lists "www.owu.edu/[LASTNAME].[FIRSTNAME]" as a link and, when you go there, the page says "Dear [FIRSTNAME], thank you for expressing interest in Ohio Wesleyan University." That sort of thing.
My question is...is this sort of thing only feasible working with a third-party vendor, or is there some sort of "roll your own" open-source solution out there somewhere for achieving this kind of thing?
I tried quite a bit of Google searching, but didn't turn up anything relevant.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,
Doug Thompson
