West Virginia University is accepting applications for a Professional Technologist 2-Designer in University Relations-Web. This position oversees the development of the graphical design including motion and transition graphics for the WVU Information Stations. Assists in some integrated website design. Will ensure that the graphical elements and video on the digital signage meet the branding and design requirements necessary for WVU electronic publications. Will learn the X20Media Xpresenter software. Will be aware of the protocol around the emergency alerts. Familiarity and understanding of video and audio codecs, frame coding techniques with YCbCr color space, and Flash animation is a plus. Will monitor the Info Stations. Expert in Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign. and Creative Suite. Knows HTML5 and CSS3. Willingness to support the Programmer position within this unit with workload around basic tasks. Must have Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field and 2-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in graphic design or multimedia productions. Will report directly to the Manager of the Information Stations in the University Relations-Web department and upward to the Director of University Relations-Web.
