Various offices/departments/people are coming at me with requests for things like:
A Web-based, complete roster (including basic bio data, a photo, etc.) of all students participating in the various athletics programs.
A Web-based directory of "expert sources", including basic bio data, a photo, etc.
A Web-based list of profiles of department employees, including basic bio data, a photo, etc.
Starting to see a trend here?
It is obvious to me that this all should be done via a database-driven system.
The question being...does such a system already exist somewhere (open source or otherwise), or will it need to be developed in-house?
Does anyone have any experience with any of these sort of things and, if so, any recommendations about solutions?
