Hi all,

I work for the University of Adelaide in the marketing area (Digital Marketing Officer) and a colleague in my team is currently exploring staff exchange opportunities. She is hoping you might be able to provide her with the contact details of someone within your marketing/communications/PR departments that might be interested, or distribute this on her behalf:

Marketing presents an exciting and ever-changing industry that greatly benefits from idea-sharing and learning from others' activities and procedures.

I see that it would be an excellent opportunity for both the host, and home University to share knowledge and experience.

The University of Adelaide, established in 1874, is South Australia's first university and among the finest universities in the world.  The University is a member of the Group of 8 universities, building the intellectual, social, cultural and economic excellence of Australia's future. Our staff reflect this prestige and passion in representing the University's values, beliefs, and desire to excel.

I would love the opportunity to speak to someone about possible staff exchange or sending a staff member to a University (in the marketing events area) to learn, and experience the Institution's environment and practices. In return, they would bring great knowledge, ideas, and experiences that they will share and contribute to their workplace.

This would not involve a change in employment, and your normal institutions would continue normal salary etc. it would simply involve two staff members exchanging roles for a period of time. Perhaps 6 weeks – 3 months.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kim Burdett

Thanks everyone, and I hope you don't mind the post, I know it's not strictly web development related!

Great idea! From my experience with our Australian clients, there is much that a US higher ed employee could learn from being in that environment, and vice versa!
I'm interested...I'm at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia (10-minute drive from Atlanta). I was thinking a month might be more feasible.
Great, contact Kim! :)
