University Web Developers

Hello,

The other day I noticed we now get the option to have updates on our Facebook Public Profile update our Twitter account, so I linked the university accounts together.

Naturally, I'm now regretting that decision and would like to put an end to this link. But I can't find a way to do so on the FB Page's edit menu. [the original prompt was a friendly blue box across the top of the page]

Any suggestions? Or anyone have a human contact at FB who could help???
Thanks!
N

You just need to goto http://www.facebook.com/twitter and it will list all your pages and their subsequent connections to twitter. You can just click to "unlink".
I believe http://www.facebook.com/twitter/ is the page you're looking for!
Gah, thank you both so much! Why do they not provide a link from the Page's edit menu? Ridiculous:)
You also have to go into the Twitter side and revoke access. I had to deal with this in my own profile.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Login to your Twitter account.

2. Click on the “Settings” link

3. Click on the Connections Tab.

4. Figure out which Application you want to “Revoke Access” to and then click “Revoke Access”

There. You should be all set. Be sure to log out and log back in to “Settings” > “Connections” to confirm that the application in question has been deleted.
Hey guys, on a related topic, much better tool to put Twitter updates on FB rather than the other way around....called "Selective Twitter Update" and it allows you to post to twitter and have it update the Facebook page, but only when you want it to go on both.

By adding the application, then using #fb after the tweet, it then updates the FB page. Search the applications for it. It was a little buggy at first but then once it is set up, it can update multiple FB pages on a one to one relationship with a twitter account (ex. FairfieldNews updates Fairfield U page on FB, FairfieldGradAd updates Fairfield Graduate Admissions page on FB).

Oh, and as for humans at Facebook? There are none...it is run by aliens using bots to control our minds. ; )
