Hi Everyone,

I’m the Web coordinator one of faculties at a public university about 9,000 students.

I would like to know if anyone has created electronic assignment submission system to submit assignments for students.

Does this have anything to do with the pending acquisition of Angel Learning by Blackboard?

This sounds like a class of applications generally called Learning Management Systems, and there are numerous commercial and open-source solutions in this apace. Sakai and Moodle come to mind.

We are an Angel customer at present, and the future is gray.
Thank you Steve.

Well, we already have Blackboard, but we have nothing to do with Angel Learning at the moment.

At the moment we have assignment submissions through email.

I am looking for a stand alone application for our faculty, where students could log in and upload assignments, academics could log in to do marking, possibly this could be on or more academics marking an assignment.
Blackboard doesn't do this (and much more)? Is the much more the problem?
Thank you for the reply, yes much more the problem.

My colleague developed a system using PHP and MySQL, students to login and submit assignments but the program did not work properly.
