Web Front-End Developer

Georgetown University’s Web development group is an energetic, forward-thinking team providing professional Web services to Georgetown University clients through the customization and enhancement of our CMS.
The Web Front-End Developer is the lead in developing client side functionality for university web sites and for converting graphic design mock ups into standards compliant Web pages. The University is currently upgrading its Web CMS, creating a unique opportunity for this position to define the standards and templates within the Web production process. This position is expected to be a primary contributor in redefining the University’s Web presence through usability testing, adoption of accepted accessibility principles, and contributing to performance standards for site delivery.
* 3+ years of Web development
* Strong understanding of designing site functionality, interaction,
information architecture, usability, and accessibility
* Strong understanding of Web CMS concepts
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines
