I'm preparing for a February 7 NERCOMP workshop on Web governance
and management at UMass Amherst and Mark Greenfield has thrown down the gauntlet: "2011: The Year of Web Governance
(in Higher Education)"
So, I'm looking for success stories.
- Does your schools' governance structure -- executive sponsorship, advisory committee(s), decision-making authority, and staff roles and responsibilities -- work?
- Do you have policies, standards, and processes in place that have handled issues as they arose?
- Are you confident in your school's ability to be ready for disruptive technologies that may emerge?
If so, would you be willing to share your success? (Off list is fine if that is better for you. I'm at firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Thanks in advance!
[Also, apologies for cross-posting, but this topic crosses so many boundaries.]
