What programs/project management tools do Website Managers use nowadays to help streamline website update requests from co-workers? Do you create your own submission form or is there a favorite program of yours that you would recommend?

Thanks,
Patrick

Yeah tender app and zendesk both have those needs covered

Both of those applications are on our "possible solutions" list. Zendesk has been a top contender.

I recently discovered JotForm.com which is a WYSIWYG form builder. Doesn't necessarily manage your projects, but I created a form and dropped the code in our website and it manages any website submission request. You can set up email alerts, automated thank you responses, create conditional fields...I'm quite impressed. VERY easy to use, very functional and I've been able to build out everything I need so far.

Thought I'd pass it along...

If you are looking at form builders I would look at this

http://wufoo.com/

I would say they are the market leader.

Thanks Matt for the heads up.

I think what I like about JotForm is you get a good deal more with the free package and if you decide to utilize the Pro version, it is much more reasonable in price.  Also, JotForm's free package doesn't have any sort of branding when you embed the source code.

I am currently trying out Project Pier - http://www.projectpier.org/

This is not yet adopted by the entire department as I am still evaluating it.  At this point, emails come in to a generic web updates email box and then are picked up by the team members.  For those specific to web development, I manually add them to Project Pier and then manage the details.

The product does have a ticket system and could be used to allow the customer to enter the ticket themselves.  That would take time to train everyone to use it however.

Regards
Russ

Hi all

My very first post on these forums! Hope to be able to contribute plenty as well as steal all of your good ideas... ;-)

I am currently looking at http://www.teamlab.com/

It is a free, open source project management solution and so far looks quite powerful. You can deactivate certain elements if you don't need them, such as the CRM and doc management features. The reporting features could prove useful also.

Office Reservation software

I've been tasked with finding a software tool that helps manage the onboarding and exit process of new and departing faculty. Ultimately i would like this software to management faculty office interms of when resources can be removed from a particular office and when a new faculty member can be moved in with the necessary resources. This tool should have notifications and alerts so there are no conflicts with someone being removed from a office and someone being placed in a office. Does anyone…See More
