I am getting ready to add an FAQ section to our site, roughly 6 categories with 3-10 questions each. So it is not going to be huge. Do you have some sites you visit where you specifically liked how the FAQ's were presented? I'd love to take a look.

The other FAQs are available via the drop down on the right hand side.

When a user clicks on the question, in addition to going to the anchor for the answer, we also modify the CSS for that dataset to highlight the question/answer they clicked on.

Thanks,

I like the subtle change in color. Nice touch. I am debating if I want to impliment it using the jQuery Accordian UI. Then I would restrict it to only showing one FAQ at a time.
We use jQuery and implemented the following.

Able to see all the questions, and with one click can see all answers or can choose which questions to show.

We also use the Google hosted version of jQuery.

ya that's what I was thinking of doing. I am still waiting for content, and probably need to format it a bit more, but I would be curious to hear your thoughts on this. http://exed.wisc.edu/faq/
We've been using MooTools to scroll down to the question. Jury is still out on if this annoying or useful in showing where on the page you're being taken to.

I usually go old school either using definition lists or
's for questions and

's for answers. I think this is just because as a user I like to be able to see everything all at once so it helps to have everything available to start with. For longer FAQ's I might break them up into separate pages by categories. http://blog.case.edu/casedaily/faqs.html

Ya, that's a good point. I may change the behavior a bit so at the top there is an expand, and collapse all buttons.
