Rich Snippets Anyone?

Is anyone using rich snippets on sections of their site? I just learned about them and not sure of any practical application for a university site. One thought I had was for video?

We're facing the same problem finding a practical application with the available schemas. We have looked at implementing the Person (http://schema.org/Person) and Place (http://schema.org/Place) schemas. It may be worthwhile to develop/define new schemas for the education industry. Its adoption would definitely be a factor in its success.

I was thinking maybe the person and place may seem slightly useful as well, particularly for some higher profile content. In general I agree with you, it would be nice if education specific schemas were created. Thanks for your thoughts.
