I'm sure most of you have heard about the settlement of the lawsuit the NFB brought against Target because their suit was inaccessible for people with disabilities using screen readers. (see Glenda Sims post
on the settlement).
While I applaud the settlement, a piece of me is disappointed that this case didn't go to trial. I think that one of the problems we currently face is the lack of case law, especially in the United States.
Your thoughts? Will the Target case focus more attention on Web accessibility?
