I've started the install process and looked at the work flows and such. I have a feeling my "soon" may turn into months as well. For what I need it to do, I can set-up and output from iMovie directly using shared events and PNG files.
I guess I'm questioning the benefit of the time involved with this feature for the types of projects I'd use it for.
We've already gotten in bed with Apple for iTunes. I'm sure a bulk of the output for iTunes will roll through my office. I have a new Mac workstation/server for PP (I also have two Apple workstations that were meant for Xgrid). I did a benchmark on three 15 movies using PP, vs using three workstations to render the files natively. The three workstations processed faster, but required someone to load up the three files, instead of using the workflow. So I'm on the fence with PP. I guess after Christmas I'll decide whether the work flow or the single mac method will be better.
We already allow for audio podcasts to get created in Wimba through Blackboard. Does a great job for on the fly podcasts.
Greetings,What are you all doing online with "old" magazine stories? Do you delete issues after so many years? 5 years? 10? I'm torn between keeping all on for historical purposes or keeping just a few years online to simplify the site (ala Gerry McGovern.) Curious as to what you see best practices being.ThanksSara KisseberthBluffton Universitywww.bluffton.eduSee More
