My University is currently using a very out-dated event calendar that we built in-house a couple years ago. I'm looking to replace it with something a little more flexible, but so far I haven't found anything out there that'll work.
The best solution I've found is EMS Master Calendar, but it is really expensive because you have to purchase a base package, licenses, etc..
It allows you to have multiple calendars that each department can maintain, but are all aggregated to a central master calendar and all the calendars have built-in iCal support, email subscriptions, and RSS.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a similar solution that wasn't quite as pricey.
Thanks

We use EMS. Don't have the Master Calendar portion and the product is such an island ...

It does solve the huge problem of resource scheduling and event calendaring.
Their model is very old school IMO, product is inflexible w/re to presentation layer, can't just present a simple category based navigation for a calendar.
It is a closed box.

They call it "most sophisticated event publishing solution available" and my response is "what a lack of vision".
I just want them to turn it into a platform. We don't need a vertical app that controls the presentation layer so strongly.

Those rants aside, there aren't many products offering the same features.
The Bedework Calendar does all these except the email subscription (and that's coming).
have you looked at active data calendar?

Looking for inexpensive job intake/ work request tools. Anything Office 365?

We are part of University Communications and are looking for a tool or product to take in job requests, project requests, etc. Would prefer something that allows a feedback survey that asks for client satisfaction upon job completion. What are you using? What do you like about it?See More
