We are in the process of looking for a CMS system for our group. dotCMS is one of the contenders, along with Alfresco, Liferay, Drupal, Plone and OpenCMS. I was wondering what the support/community is like for dotCMS? We would not be going the Enterprise route, so we would not have dotCMS support available to us. Is there a strong community? I noticed the forums on the dotCMS website are not necessarily strong.

Thanks,
Eric

They have a yahoo group that I feel is very strong. I have asked a question on a Friday night at 5:30 p.m. and had an answer in 30 minutes.

Hi

We are using dotcms, the system in a matter of programming is not har but a little different. There are kind people like me :) and many others are trynig to help each other. New comers are always welcome to ask questions and get answers. There is also an irc chat channel where we talk and discuss.

I dont have much information about other CMS systems but we decided on dotCMS and we are happy with it so far. Our website will be publish in 2 months. it is almost done. you may want to see

http://www.dotcms.org/products/who-is-usingcms.dot

where you can see which universities use dotCMS and how flexible is the system. Whatever your choice good luck.

Hello, I'm curious if anyone has used Ustream for holding online chats and/or webinars with prospective students? Thoughts? Are there other applications/software I should check out other than Ustream? Thanks.
