Our campus is looking at Drupal as our new CMS. Using Drupal for a singular site seems straight forward. What I would like to know is how other campus are managing and setting up Drupal in order to govern all the sub/micro sites that come along with a College/University website. Is everyone using Drupal Multisite? Something else? Organic groups? Fill me in, I need some solid advice.

Thanks! :)

I highly recommend Drupal.  We are just a small community college, but I'm constantly impressed with how robust Drupal can be.  Organic Groups and ThemeKey are how we control different departments/subsections.

Some higher ed Drupal modules to look at:

Organic Groups: https://drupal.org/project/og

Monster Menus: https://drupal.org/project/monster_menus (Amherst College)

OpenEDU: https://drupal.org/project/openedu

Middlebury and Amherst both seem to use Monster Menus.
Might be worthwhile reaching out to their IT/web people directly to find out more.

The BIG list of many universities and colleges using Drupal, who might be able to help with advice on large-scale Drupal installations:

It varies, depending on your needs. I have a large number of sites in a multisite setup, but I also have sites in their own installations. Much of this depends on factors like who does the development and maintenance. Do you have specific questions?

online/virtual session participation rates

Hi First timer!I wanted to find out if anyone has metrics for online/virtual session participation rates. We host a few online events for prospective students and wanted to find out if anyone has or knows of a benchmark. Also if anyone knows of a higher education email campaign metrics benchmark, I'd really appreciate this insight as well. Thanks,KatraSee More
