That is GREAT news about the HTML editor. It looks good in the marketing materials, but I'm glad to hear it is also actually good.

We've used Ektron for 3 years and were not happy with the HTML editor built into the product, until our most recent 8.6 upgrade. With that release, Ektron has integrated the Aloha HTML 5 editor and the posting experience is so much better now. We have 30-40 trained posters within various departments as well as a student web content team that works for me. I have chatted with Akumina, but have not partnered with anyone. We've handled most of the development work in house.

Here at IUP, we're still using Ektron, and planning on an upgrade to version 8.6 by summer.  We're currently on version 7.6.6.  We have workflow turned on, and a group of four (our web team) approves content for ~400 "web maintainers," as we call them. We had an implementation partner early on, but haven't for years now.

hi folks -- this group doesn't seem too active, but is anyone here still using ektron? if so, what version? how is the content managed (single or low number of content managers versus a larger pool of editors/users)? has anyone partnered with akumina (based in NH)?

Ektron can also assist in this effort. The account management team is great at putting you in touch with the appropriate partner based upon our understanding of your needs. They can help you find the right 3rd party contractor as well as work with the Ektron services team in delivering an end to end solution. If you have any questions about who your account manager would be, check the website at www.ektron.com/contact

We used Northpoint Solutions for our project and were very pleased with them. They were able to accomodate our desire to work with them on the development so that our team could manage revisions, but I believe they would be equally strong on a full site development for you.

Thanks Christine. That was fast!

Rafael,
We've been working with WSOL, an Ektron Elite partner, and have been very happy with them. They are currently working with us on a new website, and we worked with them to implement our mobile site as well. Here is their website: http://www.wsol.com/

Looking for recommendations for a 3rd party developer who can create a CMS400 site and work with our IT department to implement.

Office Reservation software

I've been tasked with finding a software tool that helps manage the onboarding and exit process of new and departing faculty. Ultimately i would like this software to management faculty office interms of when resources can be removed from a particular office and when a new faculty member can be moved in with the necessary resources. This tool should have notifications and alerts so there are no conflicts with someone being removed from a office and someone being placed in a office. Does anyone…See More
