Short list:
http://nd.edu/
http://gameday.nd.edu/
http://conductor.nd.edu/
http://onmessage.nd.edu/
http://research.nd.edu/

Pretty much everything over the past year or more, so dozens beyond what's listed above. Also, not every site that we're building strictly uses the new semantic tags. There are some instances where it's still safer to use a div, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Erik, could you give me hints (or better, URLs) as to which sited at ND are built in HTML5? I'm sure I could work it out by looking at the source code, but I would be looking for a while.

Watch out for print styling in IE. The parser can't understand HTML5.

This is very hard to work around.

Comment by Erik Runyon on November 11, 2011 at 4:05pm

1. Let the design, not device sizes dictate your breakpoints.

2. Watch the download size of your site. Think back to the days when people were still on modems.

3. Format your markup in an order that makes sense when formatted for small screens.

4. IE will play nicer if you're developing large-screen down, but try to do 320 up.

5. CSS background-width is your friend.

6. Read Responsive Web Design by Ethan Marcotte before doing anything.

7. Subscribe to Luke Wroblewski's blog: lukew.com

Erik, any advice?

We're about to undertake a top-to-bottom-side-to-side web redesign. HTML 5 and CSS3 figure to our tools of choice. Any gaps, glitches, or gotchas in the mix?

Our department at Notre Dame has been building all of our new sites in HTML5 for the past year or so, including ND.edu.

Who out there has implemented HTML5 on their website(s)?

I'm interested to exchange experiences from anyone who has done large-scale HTML5 or CSS3 work.

Rich, nice job! Colorful, yet rich and elegant. No pun intended. :)

The Griffith University webteam recently redesigned our website homepage in HTML5. This allowed us to support mobile devices more easily.

Office Reservation software

I've been tasked with finding a software tool that helps manage the onboarding and exit process of new and departing faculty. Ultimately i would like this software to management faculty office interms of when resources can be removed from a particular office and when a new faculty member can be moved in with the necessary resources. This tool should have notifications and alerts so there are no conflicts with someone being removed from a office and someone being placed in a office. Does anyone…See More
