Looks like a fun way to meet other OmniUpdate users! As president of OmniUpdate, I'll kick things off...

First, I've been an OmniUpdate user since, well, since before it was released over ten years ago. I'm a daily active user of the product as I update internal company pages, and personal websites regularly.

I live near the coast here in Southern California (not too far from OmniUpdate headquarters), and spend as many weekends as possible on the ocean -- or under it! You see, my favorite hobby is freediving and spearfishing. Diving for lobster, scallops and hunting fish while freediving is my escape. As a side benefit, my family and I eat a healthy amount of fresh seafood -- my other hobby is cooking my catch!

While I've met a great many of you over the years at our user conferences and workshops, I looking forward to hearing from OU customers I haven't met before. I'm a huge believer in the social network. Let's keep it going!

Hello everyone!
In my professional life I am the website coordinator for Saint Joseph College, a private college in West Hartford, CT. I recently was transferred from our IT department to the Marketing & Communications department. We are a small staff and I am the only person responsible for the websites here. I am learning more about Web 2.0 and social networking and can be found on Facebook, Linked In and have a Twitter account and an iPhone. I can't figure out what to do with all of these, but I'm slowly learning!

I am in the final stages of deploying a new website for the college - containing new branding attributes, aimed at external audiences (internal content was split off and posted to our intranet), and installing OU Campus to maintain it. Having a CMS will be a culture change for our campus and I'd love to hear about how other colleges have successfully implemented it. It's been a challenging project to say the least and I cannot thank the staff at OU enough for their assistance in helping me get this site launched!

I also work part time for an international non-profit organization, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). FIRST's mission is to get our youth inspired to learn about and pursue careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We have exciting programs for ages 6- high school, all based on creating robots. Our FIRST Robotics Competition (large robot (120 lb) program) competitions kick off this weekend at venues around the world. Check out the website to find an event near you!

In my "spare time" I am director of an organization which provides support to mentors of FIRST teams, NEMO. NEMO events take me all up and down the East Coast. And since I'm a strong introvert, giving these workshops and presentations definitely take me out of my comfort zone!

I enjoy camping with my family, reading, making beaded jewelry, and drinking mudslides by the side of a campfire! I am married, have two grown children and an adopted German Shepherd and a crazy Bearded Collie.

I hope to make it to the next OU conference so I can network with other colleagues.
Hi, all! I suppose I'll continue this thread with a little about me.

I've worked for OmniUpdate as a customer service manager for two years now. I got into the position because of my background in making websites; I've been designing and coding my own sites from scratch since I was thirteen, using, for the most part, straight HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I really enjoy web development, and I like working with people, so this is a really great place for me to be.

While I work for OmniUpdate during the day, I take classes in the evening and on weekends. I'm working toward my BA in the area of my true passion: archaeology, specifically concentrating on the Armana period of ancient Egypt. I'll be in school for a long time to come... but I hope to get my Ph.D. in Egyptology before I'm 35!

I was born in and currently live in southern California, but I actually grew up in Connecticut. SoCal is beautiful, and nothing compares to the ocean out here; but I'm just an East Coaster through and through. I love the seasons -- autumn and winter, especially -- and I really miss all the history and museums in the Boston and New York areas. My dream is to one day move back east and work as a curator for the Egyptology department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art!

One last thing about me: I'm an animal lover. I've got two cats -- a big fat Maine Coon and a sweet little calico -- and I used to have a terrific golden retriever; I plan to someday own a Newfoundland. If you have pictures of your pets that you'd like to share, don't feel shy about sending them my way! I'd love to see them!

Hi All,
I am responsible for maintaining the website at Los Angeles Harbor College ( Los Angeles Community Colleges District) and I have to say that Shannon, you are the best. Ever patient, ever helpful when I call with some little problem or another.
Am also the Graphic Designer here at Harbor College - and Photographer - I do love my different and varied hats!

Hi, Ray,

Thank you for the compliment! I'm always just happy that I can help. You're a pleasure to talk to; I love your accent (though I'm sure you hear that quite often)!

I hope you'll upload some examples of your photography for us to see soon!
You are very welcome....Most of the photos on the website at Los Angeles Harbor College are mine and there are buses driving around town with my photos on the back advertising Harbor College.

Hello! My name is Omar Brenes and I'm the new web developer for El Camino College in Torrance, CA. I just started this job last week in fact! I like OU Campus very much and one of the big upcoming projects is to redesign the school's website. I'm sure I'll be seeking lots of help using OU Campus by then!
Hi Omar. Welcome aboard. We are looking forward to meeting you at the conference in Long Beach!
