Comment by Andrew Soderberg on July 19, 2012 at 11:58am David,
If you want to move a page, or a whole section of a site to be subordinate to another area of the web site, with the Dependency Manager enabled (and site scanned to convert all the links to DM tags), then yes, you can use the file or folder move tool in Content>Pages to change the location of a page (or folder). All the links that point to those pages will be automatically updated and the affected pages republished so that there are no broken links. Please feel free to contact Jessica (your Implementation Manager) directly to discuss your options. The Dependency Manager is part of your implementation and is typically turned on near the completion of this process.
Regards,
Andrew Soderberg

Comment by Justin Gatewood on July 19, 2012 at 11:18am The built-in OU Campus Dependency Manager should be able to handle this task for you as you move the site to the new location (modify links, paths in code, etc.)
That's a feature that can be turned on by an OU Campus Site Administrator for any sites they manage.
I would defer to any of the OU Support Staff as to the particulars of how Dependency Manager does that, or you could read up on that feature of OU Campus on the support site at: http://support.omniupdate.com/documentation/ox/interface/setup/site...

Comment by Justin Gatewood on July 19, 2012 at 10:58am There are also directory variables that you can use - so I would really need to know what you're doing when you want to be able to make this selection from a list, as well as where you want the resulting value of your selection to be stored/saved...
Comment by Justin Gatewood on July 19, 2012 at 10:57am For example, there is a 'filechooser' property that can be used in a template on OUC that allows you to browse/select from live files/folders based on a starting point (directory/path) that you specify.
Don't know whether or not that would solve this for you, as I'm not sure as to the full context of your question.
