Nathan,

Thank you so much for your response. Your setup and volume sounds a lot like ours.  I may contact you again!

Ronna,

We here at UVU have been using OUCampus since 2003.  We have quite a history with CMS solutions...implementing 4 complete different systems in approximately a ten year span.  Before we had OUCampus for our entire institution, our users across campus were very frustrated with our CMS.  since OUCampus, we have had great success is helping our users accomplish what they need to without a lot of technical issues.  I will see if I can answer your questions:

1) How difficult was it to implement?  We worked with OmniUpdate support to learn the templating system and build out our system with that knowledge.  The templating system is fairly easy to learn if you know XSL.  So, really it was relatively easy to implement, and flexible.

2) Are we satisfied? Very much so.  We love the product, we love working with the company and support folks, and we love that our 350+ users across campus love it.

3) Personnel dedicated to the system? We have 3 full-time staff and 3 part-time staff that do all things web at UVU.  We are constantly working in the system but also have other web systems and things we work on.  It really does not take many resources to support the system.

We have about 350+ users across 250 sites or so.  We publish approximately 35,000 pages through OUCampus.  We have the SaaS solution which saves us a ton of money (if you want details contact me and I can share).  Love the SaaS model...hosting the CMS in the cloud and our production server in our server room.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello all,

The University of Northern Colo is looking at a CMS system - our first one, believe it or not. It's a long funding story. OU Campus is one we have been interested in for a long time and I have heard varying reports about it. Can you all tell me 1) how difficult was it to implement; 2) are you satisfied with the product and 3) what type of personnel do you have dedicated to any aspect of its maintenance (trainer, developer, admin, etc.).

We have about 250 web authors and about 175,000 pages in about 300 directories.

We are looking both at hosting here and through Omni so let me know which model you have.

I would REALLY appreciate the feedback, the proof for me  is in the actual user colleague comments.

You can reply to ronna.johnston@unco.edu.

Thanks in advance.

Office Reservation software

I've been tasked with finding a software tool that helps manage the onboarding and exit process of new and departing faculty. Ultimately i would like this software to management faculty office interms of when resources can be removed from a particular office and when a new faculty member can be moved in with the necessary resources. This tool should have notifications and alerts so there are no conflicts with someone being removed from a office and someone being placed in a office. Does anyone…See More
