OmniUpdate will be at HighEdWeb 2009 being held October 4 -7 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Please stop by the OmniUpdate booth and come listen to the presentations with Michael Gasparino, Stony Brook University, on “Using XML to Create an Online Course Catalog” and with Rachel Reuben, SUNY New Paltz, on “Enterprise Web CMS for Higher Education.” There will also be a poster session on "Web Site Content and the E-Expectations of College-Bound Seniors.” We hope to see you all there!

OmniUpdate announced version 8.9 of its OU Campus web content management system (CMS). A key benefit of this release includes the ability for system administrators to reassign pending page approvals. Check it out the next time you log into the CMS system.

Did you know that OmniUpdate Training Tuesdays classes start this month? These free monthly training sessions on OU Campus topics of interest will be 30 to 45 minutes long, held the last Tuesday of every month, and are open to all OU Campus administrators and users.

The first class on New Page Properties is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 11:00 am (Pacific Time). For this class, knowledge of creating and editing templates is recommended. Don’t wait, sign up today!

College of San Mateo won the first place Web Page Award for their website during the April 2009 CCPRO Pro Awards held in San Francisco, California. When asked about receiving their award, Valerie Tyler, Webmaster at College of San Mateo, stated, “It’s great to win this first place award. The website is an important marketing and communication tool for us and receiving recognition for our efforts makes everyone involved with its development quite proud.”

This isn't a posting for a job (but hopefully that will be coming soon!)We are looking to hire a new web developer, and have gotten the OK from HR to offer this with the possibility of working from home a few days of the week, and in the office the other days.
