Does your college or university have a long-term vision or strategy to which you've connected your work in online communications? If so, could you share here?
Specifically, it seems to me that higher ed. online communications is looking and reading more and more alike lately; you can see some examples of this trend at edustyle.net. Similar academic programs, marketing and branding styles, and common buzzwords.
One possibility is that some schools are hunkering down during industry upheaval. However, I'd love some anectdotal evidence of a significantly-different communications service that is aligned to a significantly-different vision for what higher education might be like in, say 10 years.
