To follow up on Mark's discussion about Usability Horror Stories
, I wanted to bring up OK/Cancel's Usability Horror Stories
, which are an amusing read about grumpy users and odd outliers with some decent debate in there as well.
The recurring horror story I often run into in my own testing is the helicopter parent who won't leave the student's side when testing, even if we really want the student's opinion unmarred by the input of the parent. We don't always have the people/resources to test the two (or three) of them separately (which is one method for preventing this).
Do you all have user testing horror stories to share?
