I was toying with this service a while back... Seems like its exactly what you're looking for. http://nouri.sh/ This is the sort of thing that I'd really like to write myself and release for free, actually. Seems totally useful. Cheers!

Hi folks, I'm looking for an app that will take a daily snapshot of an RSS feed (like this one http://www.law.uchicago.edu/events/briefs.rss) and send out an email to subscribers. I thought FeedBlitz would do this, but it will only send out *new*...

Aaron, How's it going with the aggregating the Twitter feed. It would be a great addition to the site. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm thinking of adding a profile question for members to list their Twitter account to make it easier to manage.

Thanks

I'm speedy ;-) I've been trying to resist Twittering myself as long as possible, but it seems like an ill-fated battle. Thanks for all the tips!

Definitely. Adding an aggregate twitter feed would be great and I'll give it a prominent location on the main page. Thanks

Presentation: Twitter in Higher Ed Communications

This week I presented at the 2009 eduWeb conference in Chicago. My talk, entitled "A Bird in the Hand: Twitter as a Higher Ed Communications Tool," presented some of the reasons why institutions of higher education might want to use Twitter and provide some tips and techniques for getting such a project off the ground. The powerpoint of my presentation is

TweetChicago: Behind the Scenes

Last month the Law School announced its TweetChicago page, which collects together an ever-increasing number of our faculty and students' 140-character-or-less musings on the micro-blogging service known as Twitter. Since then we've had several inquiries as to how we put this little experiment together, so here's… Continue

An Event Apart Chicago, Day 1: The Ten-Minute Wrap-up

Just got back from Day One of An Event Apart Chicago. I've got a bunch of client and personal work to do tonight, so before I settle in with a cold one and Dreamweaver, I'll try to sum up quickly what I took away from some of the sessions I attended.

The Law School's New Recording Rig

In a previous post, I mentioned that the Law School had ordered some new equipment to improve our audio recording capability. Right now, that equipment is undergoing its first field test, recording a conference here at the Law School. I thought it might be useful to colleagues elsewhere to know what equipment we had chosen (with, I should mention, the invaluable assistance of mobile recording guru Eric Butkus).

I'm pretty much with Mr. Fienen on this one in that on Facebook we try to stick with the positive in order to foster marketing, admissions, etc. However in such a circumstances our official homepage usually has a message of condolence.

I pretty much control our Facebook presence mostly unilaterally for the most part. I would be of the opinion that our Facebook community is part marketing, part admission (actually, that's not really opinion, as that's who runs it). I wouldn't pos...
