Presentation: Twitter in Higher Ed Communications

This week I presented at the 2009 eduWeb conference in Chicago. My talk, entitled "A Bird in the Hand: Twitter as a Higher Ed Communications Tool," presented some of the reasons why institutions of higher education might want to use Twitter and provide some tips and techniques for getting such a project off the ground. The powerpoint of my presentation is…

TweetChicago: Behind the Scenes

Last month the Law School announced its TweetChicago page, which collects together an ever-increasing number of our faculty and students' 140-character-or-less musings on the micro-blogging service known as Twitter. The Law School's New Recording Rig

In a previous post, I mentioned that the Law School had ordered some new equipment to improve our audio recording capability. I thought it might be useful to colleagues elsewhere to know what equipment we had chosen (with, I should mention, the invaluable assistance of mobile recording guru Eric Butkus).

Aaron, How's it going with the aggregating the Twitter feed. It would be a great addition to the site. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm thinking of adding a profile question for members to list their Twitter account to make it easier to manage.

I'm speedy ;-) I've been trying to resist Twittering myself as long as possible, but it seems like an ill-fated battle. Thanks for all the tips!

Aaron, any progress on this? I'e had a couple of other members say this would be a great feature for this site.

Definitely. Adding an aggregate twitter feed would be great and I'll give it a prominent location on the main page. Thanks
