"Thanks - I appreciate it! It was a  lot of "new" for us. Personally, I'd done a little bit of responsive design (took a class) but nothing at this level. I'd not done HTML5 or really delved into CSS3 and then finding…"

Columbia College site redesigned - take a look!

We launched a redesign of our site on July 1. It was more than just a new skin, it was a reorganization of the content. In the past we've tried to serve all audiences - current students, prospects, staff, faculty and alumni. It ended up being link overload. It also used internal back office terminology that was confusing to prospects. Our charge was to gear the site toward prospective students and to move all content for current students and faculty & staff behind our existing portal. We…See More

Beth Hastings replied to Doug Thompson's discussion Examples of good Social Media Directory pages/sites?
"Here are some I've found https://www.cmu.edu/social-media/ I like how they categorize them by colleges, departments, etc, rather than by social media network. Here's a similar idea, not quite as attractive but still pretty clear…"

"We've found the paid Google Custom Search to be decent, although I'm not thrilled with Google's customer support-- no phone support, the quality of ticket responses has been mixed, and there was no migration tool or guide (or coherent…"

Sanmita Has New CMS Bundle: AcademicsWeb. Designed and Developed for Educational Institutions

The more I learned about Sanmita, the more I was convinced of an incredibly capable, intelligent, and fully featured web firm, with design, development, and hosting all available. Sites with great flexibility, yet with sensible navigation... fully scalable, all with painless content management after launch. I tested sites they developed on my iPhone, and they automatically adjust (responsive)... no need for an app version. I'm specifically focused on a brilliant new CMS bundle, AcademicsWeb,…See More

"We finalized our conversation from a 50,000-page, static, Dreamweaver-maintained site into a T4 CMS-driven site in 2014. We trained 250 campus staff as content providers. We also trained the content providers how to migrate their own content. We now…"
