Charlie's right... defer to testing or data. You're making an objective point about why it's better - so you should measure it. Take yourself out of the argument and let the data speak.

- Hi Chas - nice site you have at ND. Are the videos in the 'carousel' also hosted at YouTube? They seem to be in a different aspect ratio to YT and they don't have the watermark, which made me think they weren't. If they are, I'd love to know how you do it.
