Hi Chris,

With your work in Web Development at the University of Arkansas, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Ok, thanks. We looking seriously at either RedDot or Percussion. What are your biggest challenges with RedDot? I heard there is a very limited support community, and some documentation is in German, and it's hard to write add-on modules for.

I don't quite understand the "black box" approach it has either - looks like it runs on a IIS server and can publish content to any web server (ie: the CMS is not needed to serve the content). And since the content is separate from the CMS the content can be integrated with other technologies, ie PHP and MySql. This is the part I don't understand.

Maybe we can have a representative come out and explain these things . . .

Thanks again

Hello, I'd also like to get on any RedDot listservs for higher education. We haven't made the final decision yet but are considering RedDot (php) very seriously.

Chris,

I just transferred to our ITS division and find myself learning RedDot. How can I be added to your listserv? Thanks.

Chris -

Could you add me to the RedDot.edu listserv? We've been using RedDot at Connecticut College for about a year and a half.
Thanks.

Archived magazine stories

Greetings,What are you all doing online with "old" magazine stories? Do you delete issues after so  many years? 5 years? 10? I'm torn between keeping all on for historical purposes or keeping just a few years online to simplify the site (ala Gerry McGovern.) Curious as to what you see best practices being.ThanksSara KisseberthBluffton Universitywww.bluffton.eduSee More
