So yeah, velocity is a strange animal, but as far as programming goes .. it really is not that hard. The main concepts you need to know are #set - sets a variable #if ... #else ... #end - for conditionals #foreach ... #end - for looping Macros -...

Hah, there's my name. Michael's answer is great so I won't go much farther than saying that there should be some simple examples like this in starter site. I thought there were some, but if not, then hopefully the DotCMS guys are listening and the...

Since you are in the CMS group, I was hoping you could advise me. UB is setting up a university-wide content management system and we are exploring what best practices other universities are doing. In particular, we are trying to identify universities that are:

* Using a CMS enterprise wide, or with several departments

* Have governance or policies in place

* Have a form of centralized staffing

* And hopefully are encouraging best practices in content and user experience.

If you can take the brief survey at https://vovici.com/wsb.dll/s/8727g3fd23 (no longer than 2-5 minutes) it would help us gather preliminary information that will assist us in our initial phase of research. If you know of someone in your organization better suited to fill this out, please feel free to pass this along.

We are looking for initial responses by Thursday, October 15th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or my assistant Kyriakos Zannikos (716-645-4652 or zannikos@buffalo.edu)

Thanks in advance,

Thanks so much, Stephen - the pageTracker argument is a tack we hadn't thought of... I'll try that out on some key pages and see how it works Examples of the URL pairings are: Home Page: http://www.emmanuel.edu/ and http://www.emmanuel.edu/x30.x...

Hi Shauna, If you look at the code GA puts in your pages, you'll see a line of javascript like this: pageTracker._trackPageview(); This is where it's actually sending the page URL to Google for tracking. It's possible to put whatever you want a...

Ellis Wood replied to Richard's discussion 'Portable Code' in the group ColdFusion
Is there truly a portable code? I have been using Model Glue for the past 7 months and still wouldnt like to think I had to port any of it to another app. Obviously there are a load of CFCs that would happily move across but there is still a lot o...

I was toying with this service a while back... Seems like its exactly what you're looking for. http://nouri.sh/ This is the sort of thing that I'd really like to write myself and release for free, actually. Seems totally useful. Cheers!
