I have been using Constant Contact for about 2 years now and really like it. It gave me enough control that I could go in and tweak using HTML and CSS if I wanted to, but also gave my student workers and other non-techie people the ability to buil...

I think there are two big differences between the two: 1) FER is a higher ed company, and they understand the unique challenges of the industry 2) If I recall correctly, MyEmma inserts their branding in your footer. I always think its a good idea ...

Also I looked at constant contact and it was out of our price range.

We use MailChimp for a newsletter we send out and I have found it to be excellent. I highly recommend them. www.mailchimp.com

We've been using Emma (myemma.com) for the last two months and love them. Granted, we are using it on a smaller scale than you are looking for. We send around 30-50k a month in 3 - 5 blasts.

Has anyone used Mailchimp?

We're shopping for an e-mail provider, too, and so far Bronto is the leader. We do need to schedule a Fire Engine Red demo, though. Also, Karlyn didn't mention it, but she wrote a good set of guidelines for selecting an email service provider las...

Mailchimp, Emma, Real Magnet, Exact Target, Silverpop, Vertical Response....hope this helps! :-)

Thanks for the info Karlyn! I like the fact that they are in Philadelphia (we're in Delaware) and that they are small. I will definitely check them out and schedule a demo. I need at least 2 more recommendations, anyone have any other suggestions?

Global footer that says "We're Hiring". It is one of our top visited pages.

Thanks for the feedback - the backstory here is that our HR office has requested to be on the homepage, but the college's Web Advisory committee has been refusing the request. I thought a link in the global footer would be a nice solution, so I'm ...

"Employment at SJC" is a link in our footer that is on every page, including the homepage. We also have a prominent link in the navigation one level down under our "About Us" section. It's one of our top hits also.

We do have a link at the bottom of the home page in the footer. We have gone one step further however, because the footer is a common include used across everyone of our pages that is in our new template. We have about 75% of our pages using it. I...

We don't, but it is one of the first menu items from the top drop down menu. I would say it is worth it, especially if you are a large school. We're a small school (for example at this time we have 5 only openings on campus), but that page is one ...
