Google Site Search

We use assets to provide viewers contact information including pictures of our faculty/physicians.When doing a Google site search for a specific faculty/physician, the first image from an asset on the pages is displayed next to the search results. Disabeling add in free Google search

If any of you are using the free Google Search on your OU sites, I am having problems locating on the Google site how to disable ads from the search results.I have been provided some code that can be added to the search file in OU, but I'm not sure about code placement. I would think there is an easier way to do this.Any advice or guidance is appreciated.See More

User account security

We originally considered using LDAP for user accounts in OUC. However, because of security concerns with LDAP we chose to create the accounts locally.I am looking for input regarding other applications or methods to increase the security of our OUC accounts, specifically, requiring new users to change their password on first log in to the system, requiring passwords to have a specific number of characters, that passwords include letter number/character combinations, etc.Any insight on how your…See More

"We may be doing it a bit backwards compared to most, but because OmniUpdate has been applied (mostly) to existing sites here at Ohio Wesleyan...and because we have a limited number of seat license for it so we have to do "shared" logins…"
