Is there anyone using Cascade Server's repurposing for pdfs and printer-friendly pages? Or if you are using another approach, such as with alternate css stylesheets, could you share what works for you?
Tyrel,
Southern Wesleyan University went down this road nearly two years ago. The site was a combination of Dreamweaver/Contribute-maintained sections along with some custom database-driven php applications for keeping directories and a mixture o...
I installed Wordpress on our server to accommodate some faculty-contributed content. I'm using v 2.7, which was installed on our production server (MediaTemple dedicated virtual server). Doing test posts seems to check out okay, but I can't seem t...
I had someone trained to maintain the online catalog w/Cascade Server, but we're looking seriously at having her continue to maintain it via Word, then distill the sections to pdf, where they will be posted on the web and I will maintain the links...
Well if you want to go the blog route I always use WordPress. Are you looking for each person to have their own independent blog, or rather one blog with many users? For the former you can use http://mu.wordpress.org/ which will speed up the proce...
We've been using supersleight and haven't had PNG transparency problems. IE6 users might see a white block in the background of a PNG but it goes away as the page loads. I too would like to see IE6 go away forever.
I'm very eager to try this out, unfortunately our account has not had the feature enabled just yet. If nothing else, it moves captioning down a step from creating, to just an editing process.

Hi Steve -
It is a re-design and CMS implementation as one project. Sorry I didn't clarify that in my first post. We've got through a good part of the learning curve on Drupal as a CMS though there are some things that are still puzzling us, so w...
Yeah - that was a basic first thought just because I saw the same issue and the cheaper/older PC's had the problems. Didn't think of the plug-ins, never checked those...very good idea.
Pandora makes a good point too on the frame rates...it may pr...
We've had so many problems using Ektron 7.6.5 that we're considering upgrading to 8.0. However, we're concerned that while doing this might solve the 7.6.5 bugs, going through the upgrade might generate new issues. We work primarily on Mac/Firefox...
I am confused. You seem to be discussing "site redesign" and "CMS implementation" as one project. I think they are probably better conceived as separate, concurrent projects. Since we had two separate projects, our experience with an outside desig...

Not a flash guru but what frame rate did you build it at? I had a similar problem and basically my Mac could handle the frame rate but the PC couldn't. I did have it pretty high though and dropped it to 30 fps and it sorted out the problem
