o Produces sustainable, standards-compliant sub-sites for Binghamton.edu in the most classical sense of being a producer, i.e., possessing a broad knowledge of online communications disciplines, able to conceive, assemble project assets, manage, and implement compelling websites.
o Acts as project coordinator and primary client contact for assigned sites; supports other Web site design, development and maintenance projects.
o Meets with clients and manages production schedules for assigned projects in collaboration with the Web Director and others within Communications and Marketing web team of producers, designers, and programmers, coordinates the work of project team members assigned to projects.
o Technically supports our web presence as an engaging and enriching experience through the employment of web standards and best practices.
o Uses both a content management system (CMS) and hand-coding HTML to develop web pages through graphical or command line interfaces.
o Identifies, gathers, develops and manages diverse content (project assets like images, textual manuscripts, audio, video, scripting) along with technical requirements and site architecture diagrams, to produce standards-compliant, accessible web sites on schedule and budget.
o Migrating content from legacy sites to CMS based pages/sites.
o Assesses compliance with applicable accessibility standards and determines measures for remediating, if necessary.
o Documenting and otherwise ensuring knowledge transfer of all creative web solutions
