Since you are in the CMS group, I was hoping you could advise me. UB is setting up a university-wide content management system and we are exploring what best practices other universities are doing. In particular, we are trying to identify universities that are:
* Using a CMS enterprise wide, or with several departments
* Have governance or policies in place
* Have a form of centralized staffing
* And hopefully are encouraging best practices in content and user experience.
If you can take the brief survey at https://vovici.com/wsb.dll/s/8727g3fd23 (no longer than 2-5 minutes) it would help us gather preliminary information that will assist us in our initial phase of research. If you know of someone in your organization better suited to fill this out, please feel free to pass this along.
We are looking for initial responses by Thursday, October 15th.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or my assistant Kyriakos Zannikos (716-645-4652 or zannikos@buffalo.edu)
Thanks in advance,

I haven't been to a SeaDUG meeting yet, but I'm thinking this might be the month - http://groups.drupal.org/node/14731 It would be interesting to ask how many Drupal developers are around at the next UW Web meeting and see if there's interest in a group. Even if there's just a few, maybe a quarterly coffee meeting would be good.
I'm up to my neck in CCK, Views and theming, so if you have a question in those areas, feel free to shoot me an email.

Hey Heather. We're using Drupal at the Evans School too! Let me know if you want to share info or commiserate. :)
heather, i'm trying to relocate to seattle and wanted to start my local networking. i'm requesting to add you as a friend but i promise i'm not a stalker! just a cool web geek!
I'm very eager to try this out, unfortunately our account has not had the feature enabled just yet. If nothing else, it moves captioning down a step from creating, to just an editing process.
Anyone have success with a online app for taking room reservations?
We've been using Google Calendar/Docs to accept/publish our online room reservations. It did about 80% of what we needed and was free and great.
However, it presents some challe...
Hi Steve -
It is a re-design and CMS implementation as one project. Sorry I didn't clarify that in my first post. We've got through a good part of the learning curve on Drupal as a CMS though there are some things that are still puzzling us, so w...
Yeah - that was a basic first thought just because I saw the same issue and the cheaper/older PC's had the problems. Didn't think of the plug-ins, never checked those...very good idea.

We've had so many problems using Ektron 7.6.5 that we're considering upgrading to 8.0. However, we're concerned that while doing this might solve the 7.6.5 bugs, going through the upgrade might generate new issues. We work primarily on Mac/Firefox...
I am confused. You seem to be discussing "site redesign" and "CMS implementation" as one project. I think they are probably better conceived as separate, concurrent projects. Since we had two separate projects, our experience with an outside desig...

Not a flash guru but what frame rate did you build it at? I had a similar problem and basically my Mac could handle the frame rate but the PC couldn't. I did have it pretty high though and dropped it to 30 fps and it sorted out the problem
