Hi Julie, I use a plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/) to set up simple page redirects. Using it at our root site to link to a deep page or an external page gives a 'short-ish' URL. brescia.uwo.ca/give/ is an example that leads to an external (non-WordPress) form.

However, now that you raise the question, I see that there is another plugin that looks like it does exactly what you want! (https://wordpress.org/plugins/shorten-url/)

Recommendations for an outsourced web dev company

Hello,I'm in charge of information systems at SUNY Orange, but our budget isn't currently allowing us to hire a full-time web developer, so I was looking for outsourced solutions that other institutions can recommend. We have a few PHP/MySQL applications, and will be shortly moving to OmniUpdate as far as general content management. We also have a Luminis portal.Any suggestions?Thank you in advance.ArturSee More
