Kris Martin-Baker replied to Kristina Hickman's discussion Website Department
"The internal site, student tools, etc are still with IT. So we end up dealing with only the public site... and there's then a poorly-understood division for our current community between what's managed by us and what's managed by IT."

Since you are in the CMS group, I was hoping you could advise me. UB is setting up a university-wide content management system and we are exploring what best practices other universities are doing. In particular, we are trying to identify universities that are:

* Using a CMS enterprise wide, or with several departments

* Have governance or policies in place

* Have a form of centralized staffing

* And hopefully are encouraging best practices in content and user experience.

If you can take the brief survey at https://vovici.com/wsb.dll/s/8727g3fd23 (no longer than 2-5 minutes) it would help us gather preliminary information that will assist us in our initial phase of research. If you know of someone in your organization better suited to fill this out, please feel free to pass this along.

We are looking for initial responses by Thursday, October 15th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or my assistant Kyriakos Zannikos (716-645-4652 or zannikos@buffalo.edu)

Thanks in advance,
