"Web First" Philosophy

Oh, how I love this post from mStoner, and how I hope it will help me to continue to grow our Web operation in the near future....
"An often-repeated mStoner mantra is that a college or university’s most important marketing and information tool is its website. That’s the foundation of our “web first” philosophy, and the reason why we encourage clients to make long-term investments in web content, architecturContinue

Read your post titled "Image Library...". We are also using Portfolio and about six months ago, we started posting pictures to Flickr. I have a few questions about your migration and process. When you have some time, could you shoot me an email?

We recently decided on Drupal and purchased support from Acquia Drupal. We've been pretty happy with them so far. Great response times and access to free webinars that have been pretty helpful.

There's no real "professional organization" per se yet. The HighEdWeb group had been working on something like that though, but I'm not sure where they are at in that process. As for conferences, I'd generally recommend HighEdWeb and EDUWeb.
