just a quick bit of advice - it is quite a good idea to remove the joomla generator meta tag from your joomla site (and indeed any reference to Joomla) to 'hide' your site from would be Joomla hackers (of which there are many).

for example target ie6/7 with css2 then ie8 with css3 - use the main stylesheet to cover firefox/chrome etc (...
