User testing brings good results

Students at Harper College must use the student portal for all business-related transactions, such as registering, paying tuition and accepting financial aid awards. But most other information—academic programs, college catalog, calendar of events, advising—is on the external site.

College web sites struggle to engage students

The announcement that the Gates Foundation Invests in Facebook App for College Studentsprompted our organization to look at what we're already doing on Facebook.

Make decisions based on quality data

An organization that practices accountability will be able to measure the success of their students and use that information to improve. Being accountable means tracking the money and efforts spent, then using statistical measurements to determine outcomes and finally, making those outcomes public.
