I just discovered tweetmyjobs.com this morning. To date we have not been using social media sites to advertise our job postings. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it successful or a waste of time?
When you post a job to www.higheredexperts.com/work, it gets included in an RSS feed that folks can subscribe to, to the weekly email newsletter, to this website (top left on the homepage) but also to the @higheredexperts Twitter account.
You can post your higher jobs for free and folks can check them out for free as well.
I have posted job openings on behalf of a local marketing company through my personal twitter account, and have gotten a handful of replies back. Have not explored job postings for Penn State York, but I will have to discuss this with others.
