OmniUpdate congratulates Nathan Gerber, Director of Web Development Services, Utah Valley University, for his acceptance to speak on “The Benefits of SaaS Web CMS-Managing the Budget While Improving Agility, Adaptability, and Responsiveness," at the 2010 EDUCAUSE Southwest Regional Conference, Feb. 17-19 in Austin, Texas. The next OmniUpdate Training Tuesday Class on Writing for the Web is now open for registration. The class will be held at 11:00 Pacific Time, November 24, 2009.

Our guest presenter is Ms. Stephanie Geyer, Associate Vice President, E-communications and Web Strategy, Noel-Levitz. Her session will give practical advice on how to write for the Web. She will look at data on how users read online and outline strategies to ensure that your copy meets user needs and keeps them moving through your site.

Please mark your calendar for the 2010 OmniUpdate User Conference, scheduled for March 21-24 at the Hyatt Regency, Long Beach, CA. Great speaker sessions and training classes aimed at helping you make the most of OU Campus are planned. Conference information and registration details will be available in the next few weeks.

OmniUpdate released Version 8.10 of its web content management system (CMS). It includes Multi-Output Preview and enables Multi-Language Editing and Preview in the OU Campus. We think this CMS feature enhancement will make the content contributor's job easier than ever. Learn more.

Lance Merker, CEO of OmniUpdate, will be speaking at the 2009 Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education hosted by American Marketing Association (AMA), November 15–18 in Boston, MA. He will discuss student expectations about the college website as revealed in the 2009 study "Scrolling Toward Enrollment: Web Site Content and the E-Expectations of College-Bound Seniors." Lance will be joined by Stephanie Geyer (Noel-Levitz), and Cathy Willette (James Tower). This presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 11:30 am-12:15 pm.
